Most customers ask us to ship orders at the Best Time for Spring Potato Planting based on our 50-State Chart.

However, we do ship our Seed Potatoes 52 Weeks/Year, whenever you want them. We harvest our crop of Organic Maine Certified Seed Potatoes in September. We begin shipping this New Crop by November 1 (sometimes earlier) and continue shipping from our on-farm underground Potato Storage, every week through the Winter & Spring & Summer until October 31.

All new potato tubers grown anywhere must go through a Dormancy Period after harvest before tubers will sprout and grow. This dormancy lasts 4-8 weeks. For planting after December 1, the dormancy concern becomes a non-issue because our Seed Potatoes will have completed their rest period and will sprout and grow when warmed up to room temperature.

Note: Orders which include 45 pound carton(s) of Certified Seed Potatoes and shipped after mid-November and prior to the week of March 24 or between July 1 and September 30 customarily require a $16.00 insulated box fee. We've combined our popular Nitrile Weeding Gloves with our Gardener's Hand Soap, both designed in our Heirloom Garden print by Oregon artist Kate Blairstone.

Form-fitting gloves are dipped in clear nitrile on palms and fingertips for a waterproof coating. The back of the glove is uncoated and breathable, so you can work in comfort. For our soap, we blend shea butter, cocoa butter, olive oil and apricot seed for a light exfoliant. 6.4 oz. bar.
