Very productive, reliable and respected cool-season cover crop. High-yielding when planted early and grown to harvest as a Spring grain. Produces substantial biomass when sown as a soil-building cover crop and may be planted for this purpose anytime during the growing season. Perfectly-suited as a fast-growing nurse crop that can be under-sown with slower growing clovers and grass. Late planted Oats will be killed in the North by hard Fall frosts, forming a protective soil-covering mat, easily tilled under in the Spring. Seed at 3 lbs/1000 sq. ft. or 100 lbs./acre. 10,700 seeds per pound. Pkt plants 12 square feet.
