Rare Porcelain-type Garlic. Very rich, robust and pleasant flavor. Beautiful bulbs with good-sized cloves that are easy to peel. Excellent fresh, roasted or pickled. From Republic of Georgia.
Plant individual cloves 6” apart in the Fall for Harvest next Summer. Garlic is perfect for planting in garden beds. In the North, mulch with straw after the ground has frozen to prevent damage from freeze-thaw heaving.
Once growth begins in Spring work into the soil around Garlic plants a high Nitrogen fertilizer such as Organic Oasis. Garlic is shallow rooted so keep well watered. We recommend mulching between plants with straw to conserve water and control weeds.
Garlic may be harvested when the outer two or three leaves begin to dry down. Finish drying in an airy shed protected from direct sunlight. Store long term cool and dry.
