Bringing In The Cold.

After pushing our old walk-in reefer out-of-the-way and into its new adjacent location, Caleb (left) and Dave slide into position an insulated panel while re-assembling our "new" used second-walk-in reefer.
Having grown up on a local potato farm and then spending the rest of his working life in construction, Dave Brown is what you'd call handy. That wood replacement runner - that his foot is holding steady - is one he crafted to replace one of the original runners which didn't survive the reefer relocation from Presque Isle.
Living a mile away from our farm, Dave and Jeanne are living the good life in retirement. Dave is often in his shop building one thing or another. Every Fall he rises at 4am and puts in long days helping one of the bigger potato farmers in town get their crop in. Dave is always ready to drop everything and come over and help us whenever we need a hand.
Next up, Dave is going to build us some custom shelves inside the reefer so we can cram in as many Tulip crates full of graded Organic Seed Potatoes as we can fit, for sale and shipping through the Summer and Fall.
