Reuters. “Ban Introduced in March, concerns Monsanto MON810 Maize” France Defends Interests

“As Europe’s largest crop-grower, France is under pressure to soften its stance on GMO crops, particularly after experts found this year there was no evidence justifying a ban…However, in a country that is fiercely protective of its agric

ulture, regarding it as part of its national identity, the government faces strong public resistance to GMO crops, as well as to the use of chemicals in farming. Earlier this year a French court found Monsanto guilty of chemical poisoning after a farmer from the south-eastern town of Lyon claimed he had suffered neurological problems caused by inhaling one of the biotech giant’s weedkillers.” France supporting the interests of its people. Activist Post “Cargill and Others Behind anti-Organic “Stanford Study” ” Smoking Gun At Stanford

BREAKING NEWS! SMOKING GUN FOUND IN STANFORD! “From Standford Center for Health Policy’s own website it is admitted that ‘national and international foundations and corporations’ fund its research and ‘outreach activities.’ This confirms the suspicions of an increasingly aware public who saw the ‘study’ as biased, contradictory of both logic and ethics, and the result of insidious corporate-funding. According to FSI’s 2011 Annual Report Agricultural giant Cargill, British

Petroleum (BP), the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation (heavily invested in both Cargill and big-agri giant Monsanto), the Ford Foundation, Google, Goldman Sachs, the Smith Richardson Foundation, and many other corporate-financier, Fortune 500 special interests.” It is no coincidence that the corporations behind this propaganda coup are the biggest contributors to the biotech disinformation campaign deployed to defeat California Prop 37, the people’s Right-To-Know GMO Labeling referendum. Boulder Weekly “Monsanto’s point of no return” Monsanto’s Real Business Plan

MONSANTO’S REAL BUSINESS PLAN. MUST READ incisive article which explores Monsanto’s true motive for its GMO/trangenic technology: control. “What if the patented technology behind GMOs has less to do with feeding the world and improving cr

op yields, and more to do with a predatory business model that is rapidly taking over our food supply, and what if this control will continue to exist regardless of whether or not we eventually turn away from GMOs in the marketplace?” As those of us in the seed business have known for years, we’re in a mess, it’s time to roll up our sleeves, the people have work to do. Just justice? Home court advantage? Forty-five minute verdict renders largest settlement of the year. “‘I’m not sure how the they reached that number, but they definitely got a home field advantage.’ said Michael R. Samardzija, a patent att

orney, based in Houston. ‘It begs the question whether the jury was impartial all the way through. Do you really reach a decision in 45 minutes?'” As you might have guessed, Monsanto wants to move OSGATA et al v. Monsanto to hometown St. Louis.

GMWatch “The inside story on the GM wheat trial debate” From The Ecologist

Rely upon the Ecologist for excellent information.”‘Take the latest Rothamsted work looking at GM insect-resistant wheat…the main question I have is why are we spending a large chunk of our finite R & D budget on a crop no one wants to buy? Even in the USA, GM wheat was stalled because of consumer resistance. Can anyone think of another example of money being spent on the development of a crop that has no market prospects? What’s next, research on apples that taste of herring?…It is as if the R & D committee got drunk before the meeting.'” Jim

We have posted Jack Adam Weber’s petition and the 1143 reasons-for-signing left by signers (see yesterday’s FB post) in an easy to read format on our website (link below). The responses are moving, heartfelt and diverse. Biotech would be stunned to learn how strong the worldwide resistance to their culture of death has grown. Ruthann from Conifer CO: “To support organic farms and those who care about the integrity of our food supply. Thank you to all of you who buy organic (we vote with our dollars) and to all of you who are standing up to Monsanto.” Jim
