SAFE BET FOR A WHITE CHRISTMAS IN NORTHERN MAINE. With the second snowfall in a week, a stiff wind now blowing from the Northwest and predictions for -8oF tonight, it’s accurate to say Northern Maine is now fully into Winter.
Yesterday’s storm dropped 6″ of snow. It would have been more except that the snow switched over for a time in the afternoon to freezing rain before turning back to snow by dark.
In this shot taken minutes ago, Caleb is plowing the yard before the crew shows up with his 9-foot ‘Boss’ snowplow mounted on a 4WD Diesel F250 Ford pickup truck.
It takes Caleb 3-4 hours to plow everything out after a 6-8″ snowfall. Caleb, Megan & Jim
