yukon gold seed
I ordered from you last year and the seedstock outperformed all of our other sources and gene lines that we grew. Yukon Gold produced 8x despite 8 weeks of total high heat drought followed by 45 inches of rain over the 2+ weeks of June 10-30. We assayed for pathogens/insects during May and had few if any. Beetles were shrugged off. In fact Yukon Gold shrugged off the local virulent strains of blight and fusarium. In conclusion: 1st, your current gene lines are very serious producers. 2nd, they thrived in adverse conditions. 3rd, they are very resistant to everything and everybody.

Yukon seed
I just harvested my first potatoes yesterday--I was surprised they would be ready this early(planted early Nov). They are HEAVENLY!! Potatoes are good from the store, but these fresh from the earth were outstanding! Next year I may devote my whole garden to potatoes!!!

Yukon Gold
Yukon Gold has been an excellent producer for me in central Virginia. Each plant produces six to ten fist sized potatoes. I am ordering Yukon seed stock from Wood Prairie Farm for the third consecutive year. These are great tasting potatoes whether baked, mashed, roasted or in potato salad.

Solid performer
Great seed. Bought two years in a row, and even with the extremely dry spring I still had a decent harvest. Shrugged off the bugs and the blight well.

Great Potatoes
I have ordered the Yukon Potatoes for 3 years now and I am satisified every year. I live in AZ and they hold up well in our heat. My friends love to come over and eat potatoes

An interesting potato to grow
The Island Sunshine tied for 6th overall yield (pounds/plant) with the Elba, Yukon Gold and Cranberry Red. Of particular note is that we only 2 plants failed to germinate and we found zero Colorado Potato Beetles on this plant. The fact that this variety is not preferred by the CPB is reason enough to grow this variety next season. The only thing we did not prefer about this variety is that it had one of the lowest number of seed eyes of the 15 varieties that we received from Wood Prairie Farm, however, having no CPB compensated for the lack of hills we got from our 2.5 lb bag. We will be growing this potato again next year to see if we can increase the yield even more.

Good consistent potato
The Yukon Gold tied for 6th place in total yield (pounds/plant) along with Elba, Cranberry Red and Island Sunshine. This is a really consistent potato in size, shape and color and very marketable. Of particular note is that it was not a favorite for the Colorado Potato Beetle with only 8% of the plants having the pest on it at anytime during the growing season. We will definitely grow the Yukon Gold next season.
