Known locally as "poor man's alfalfa" for its ability to thrive on marginal soils, the legume Alsike is a must in seeding mixes for hay or pasture to grow where other clovers won't grow. Decent growth with good rain in the first year, good growth comes along in the second year. Beautiful and unbelievably fragrant blossoms. Sow at ½ lb./1000 sq. ft. or 15 lbs/acre alone or 5-8 lbs./acre in mixes. 250,000 seeds/lb.
