The walnut of history is what is now known as the English (or Persian) walnut, a native of southeastern Europe. Despite its name, the climate and soils of California are perfectly suited to the production of English walnuts, and indeed, that is where the greatest amount of the world's supply is produced. After many requests we have found a family farm-scale source for excellent flavored certfied organic English walnuts.
