From the Neighborly Farms in the hills of Vermont we are happy to offer this delicious organic milk cheese. This cheese is aged and cellar cured and is handcrafted in small batches. The delicate cheese must ship 2-Day Air during the hot months. Classic Vermont Cheddar flavor. This cheese was developed in the rich pastures of the Somerset area in England. Local Legend has it that cheese was discovered accidentally when a village milkmaid left a pail of milk, for safety, in the nearby Cheddar Gorge caves. Later the milkmaid returned to find that the milk had turned to a new tasty substance and Cheddar Cheese was born.
